Party Chief - Construction Support (Offshore)
The Party Chief is responsible for safe, efficient and timely conduct of
offshore project operations and for assurance of quality. In addition to the
direct supervision of the Survey team, close liaison with the Client
Representative and Ship's Master will be required to manage the day-to-day work
programme. Daily communication with the Project Manager will also be essential.
Strong technical and operational knowledge, communication and man-management
skills are essential. A minimum of 5 years offshore construction support is
essential.
Senior Survey Engineers - Construction
Support (Offshore)
Survey Engineer is responsible for the installation,
maintenance, repair and operation of the survey equipment. Construction
operational experience i.e. Pipelay support, ROV operations, positioning support
will be preferred along with familiarity of LBL Acoustics, Visualsoft digital
video, MBES Swathe and working knowledge of Evia Navipac, although training can
be given. A strong technical and electronic background is essential, whilst a
practical ability to problem solve is necessary. Time served should be a minimum
of 3 years.
Senior Surveyors - Construction Support (Offshore)
The ‘Online’ Surveyor is responsible for correct acquisition and processing of all positioning data (vessel & sensors) acquired during survey. Educational and operational experience with principles of surveying will be essential. Construction operational experience i.e. Pipelay support, ROV operations, positioning support will be preferred along with familiarity of LBL Acoustics, Visualsoft digital video, MBES Swathe and working knowledge of Evia Navipac, although training can be given.
Data Processor - Construction Support
(Offshore)
The Data Processor is responsible for the processing of Data from the Online acquisition system into the formats and specifications as required by the Client. Experience with Autocad, Visualsoft, Wish software, EVIA software and Microsoft office will be preferred. Experience with MBES processing and the production of DTM charts would also be of benefit. Construction operational experience i.e. Pipelay support, ROV operations, positioning support will be preferred
Senior Surveyor - Geophysical Division (Offshore)
Will be responsible for correct acquisition and processing of all positioning data (vessel & sensors) and bathymetric data acquired during the survey. Responsible for acquisition and logging of positional data and for calibration of survey sensors. You will be required to perform the duties of either an “Online Navigator” or a “Data Processor” and will have experience with principles of surveying offshore especially in fields of positioning and multi-beam echo sounding. The successful candidate will be degree qualified and have a minimum of 3 years experience or will have at least 6 years of relevant industry experience.
Environmental Services Manager (Lowestoft)
Environmental scientist with both field and office experience who feels ready for the challenge of this new position within a dynamic geoscientific survey company. To head up the development of a marine environmental survey capability which is able to meet or exceed the needs of the offshore industry from near shore to deepwater environments. You will be expected to work closely with other groups within UTEC as well as with partners, clients and sub-contractors. A minimum of a first degree in an environmental based subject and at least 2-years field experience preferably in the offshore oil and gas sector is required. A good knowledge of marine environmental regulatory and legislative requirements in UK and ability to ensure surveys are performed to meet these objectives. Man management skills are essential to fulfil the duties of a department manager. Overseas travel will be expected with occasional work offshore.
Senior Engineer – Geophysical Division (Offshore)
Will operate, maintain and repair company operated analogue and/or digital survey equipment. The Engineer shall have at least three years experience in the field of offshore analogue and/or digital survey acquisition and will have a proven record of supervising offshore survey engineering teams.
Geophysical Workshop Engineering Manager (Lowestoft)
Experience in running an electronic and electrical workshop is required. Will operate, maintain and repair company operated analogue and/or digital survey equipment. Establish and maintain professional working methods. You shall have at least three years experience in offshore analogue and/or digital survey acquisition and will have a proven record of supervising offshore survey engineering teams.
Marine Superintendent (Lowestoft)
Responsible for management of the ships including maintenance, daily fleet operations and vessel certifications. You shall have a minimum of 5 years experience in the field and will be a minimum of Ships Master, with 1st Class Certificate of Competency. You will ensure the vessels comply with the latest Class, IMO, SOLAS, Port State, Flag and other applicable marine and local regulations. In addition you will maintain and update ISM procedures and carry out vessel audits. You will have good IT skills and be able to write comprehensive reports and create relevant spreadsheets. Working with the Resourse Team and HR Manager you will be responsible for hiring of multinational crew, ensuring rotations are suitably managed and that all staff have the relevant certification and Flag approval for the vessel. The Marine Superintendent will be the DPA for UTEC vessels. Although you will be Lowestoft based the position requires some worldwide travel and visits to the vessels.
Project Assistant
Required to join the Project Team, responsibilities include coordinating technical and commercial evaluation of tenders along with preparation and submission of bid documents. This position is considered the ‘seed bed’ for project management and candidates may be trained and mentored into a project management role. Good communication and interpersonal skills, along with commercial awareness are essential. Familiarity with the offshore industry is desirable.
